When sport isn’t a game…
Our ultimate aim is to get athletes into national teams, so they can break records and win medals, although they have to start somewhere – the bigger the change we can create, the better! Athletes often successfully branch out into other sports, that either mirror the main interest e.g. by season, or that may support it physically, mentally, or by technically.
Training is varied, adaptive, and progressive throughout the season, depending on phases and competitions. I work towards making sure my athletes are the fittest they can be in any group, whatever their level. I enjoy seeing their confidence rise as a result and it gives me great pleasure when I receive that happy email, or text, when they achieve their dreams.
I train most sports and work with athletes from varying sporting strands, including club to elite national and international levels, several athletes with diverse levels of physical abilities. During my career, I have enjoyed success at some point with most sports but most notably with skiers, swimmers, sailors, and football, hockey and netball players. I also have coaching qualifications in Swimming, Football, Volleyball, Tennis, and Trampolining.
