“I am a 39 year old mother of three girls, I work and have a very busy life. I trained with Steve five years ago after another one of my spiralling weight issues!! I openly admit that I am totally addicted to sugar and it’s a battle I will have all my life, I am definitely not one of those people who is “naturally thin”!
I have trained with lots of people over the years as its always been the best way to control my weight and a trainer will always push you that bit harder, but Steve is different from anyone else I have met, he taught me techniques, sports and ways to train that have really changed my life. I always really looked forward to training with him every day was different, he taught me to swim properly, to breathe through the water to play tennis properly and to use the things around me for exercise. The local park became a training ground and somewhere I still go early in the morning, it’s so much nicer and cheaper than a gym!
Since my time with Steve, I have completed triathlons, marathons a Tuff Mudder and countless other events. Whenever my diet plummets into the depths of sugar and junk food I get focussed, enter an event and get going again mostly with the sports and training that Steve taught me. Trust me, if you’re like me and have said “I’ll start on Monday” too many times, just do it. We spend so much of our spare cash on new clothes, diet pills and make up and we still feel rubbish, so we spend loads on crappy food and alcohol. Use the cash on something that will really make a difference and make you feel happy, less tired and more confident!”

“I am 68 years old and on a visit to my GP I was diagnosed with high blood pressure. My GP recommended that I should start to take statins which I was reluctant to do. I had a consultation with Steve and he suggested a programme of exercise, suggested changes to my diet and also that I purchase a blood pressure monitor and start to monitor my blood pressure at home. The GP was willing to give me 6 months to reduce my blood pressure naturally.
I followed Steve’s advice and after approximately 2 months my blood pressure had come down along with my weight. My general fitness levels are much better and I have more energy.
During the course of my time with Steve he monitored my exercises and checked that my technique was good. Steve also made alterations to my exercise regime when necessary and was there for advice if I felt I needed it.
On my last visit to the GP he was very happy with what I had managed to achieve and is now leaving the question of taking drugs for a while and said that while I am exercising and keeping my weight down there is no need to take any drugs.
It was interesting to see that when I took my own blood pressure at home it was generally lower than when I went to the doctors. This could be due to being nervous at the doctors which raised my blood pressure however it used to vary greatly at home too.”

“I am writing to say that Steve Cooper supervised my personal fitness for a period of time after I returned from the Volvo Ocean Race (37,000 mile sailing race around the World). Steve has a diverse collection of skills from personal training, core stability, pilates, swim coaching, aquaerobics, aerobics, weight training and injury prevention. These are just those that I experienced.
Having represented Britain at 3 Olympic Games I have worked with many personal trainers and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Steve to you. He is very motivated and imparts that enthusiasm to his clients. He is very knowledgeable and can ably demonstrate most skills.”
